We understand the urgency and pain associated with such accidents.

That’s why we specialize in providing quick and effective care for these types of injuries to ensure complete healing without complications.

When should you see a doctor for a crushed or trapped finger?

You should seek medical attention quickly if:

  • The finger is deformed or causes intense pain.

  • There is an open wound or cut.

  • You notice blood under the nail or a detached nail.

  • There is a loss of sensation in the finger or signs of numbness.

  • The finger appears bluish or cold, which could indicate circulation issues.

  • Your child struggles to move the finger or refuses to use it.

What to expect during your visit:

  • A clinical examination will be conducted to provide an accurate diagnosis and determine if an X-ray is necessary to identify possible fractures or bone injuries.

  • You will receive appropriate treatment:

    • For fractures: Manual realignment and immobilization with a splint or cast.

    • For cuts or wounds:

      • Wound care and hematoma management, including cleaning, sutures, and drainage of hematomas under the nail. The nail will be preserved or removed as needed.

      • Reconstructive surgery (if required) to address severe injuries, including partial fingertip amputation if necessary.

Follow-up care:

  • Close consultations on days 3 and 10.

  • Remote follow-up via post-treatment photos to monitor complete healing and prevent complications.
