Advantages of Saliva Drug Tests

Saliva drug tests offer several key advantages:

  • Easy to use: These tests are simple and can be administered anytime, anywhere.

  • No special facilities needed: There's no need for a bathroom or special amenities; saliva is easily accessible.

  • Immediate detection: Saliva tests detect drug use immediately after consumption, long before traces appear in urine, and can track drug use for several hours.

  • Tamper-proof: These tests are performed right in front of you, making them difficult to falsify or tamper with.

Technical Details

  • Detection thresholds: Each drug is detected at a specific threshold level. If the saliva sample contains drug levels above the indicated threshold, the test will show a positive result for that drug; otherwise, it will be negative.

NarcoCheck® Multi-Drug Saliva Test (5 Drugs)

Substances detected | Concentration (ng/ml):

  • Δ9-THC (pure cannabis): 10 ng/ml

  • COC (cocaine): 20 ng/ml

  • OPI (heroin, opiates): 10 ng/ml

  • AMP (amphetamines): 25 ng/ml

  • MET/MDMA (methamphetamine, ecstasy): 50 ng/ml

Detection Time for Cannabis in Saliva: Regardless of the test used, THC (the active ingredient in cannabis) can only be detected in saliva for 4 to 6 hours. The NarcoCheck saliva test has an extremely low detection threshold to fully exploit this window of time. Our test detects THC for up to 4 to 6 hours after the last joint, regardless of consumption level.

Detection Time for Other Drugs: Cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, and ecstasy can be detected by this test for 24 to 48 hours after the last use.

For Companies

More and more companies are implementing drug prevention measures among their employees, especially those in sensitive or high-risk roles.

Transport companies, construction firms, security companies, and even financial trading firms seek solutions to inform their workforce about the dangers of drug use and its complete incompatibility with the workplace.

Employers must test for drugs to ensure workplace safety, boost productivity, comply with legal regulations, and protect the company’s image. Employees who use drugs can be a danger to themselves and their colleagues, leading to lower productivity and performance. Drug testing helps identify at-risk employees and prevents incidents that could damage the company’s reputation.

For Parents Who Want to Protect Their Children with Active Prevention

Widely accepted in Anglo-Saxon countries, active prevention involves regularly testing children with home drug tests, which are completely anonymous and don’t require lab visits or personal information.

Much like law enforcement on the roads, testing ensures rules are respected. Kids need to understand that regular testing isn’t about mistrust but about protecting them from deadly risks.

Active prevention acts both as prevention and deterrence. If your children know they might be tested when they get home, they may think twice before experimenting with drugs. If you suspect your children might try drugs but would refrain out of fear of being caught, you already know what action to take.

How to Protect Our Children/Teens from Drugs?

Preventing drug use among children is critical to shielding them from the dangers of addiction. Here are some steps to take:

  • Communicate openly: Talk honestly with your children about the dangers of drugs. Listen to their concerns and answer their questions.

  • Educate them: Teach your children about the negative effects of drugs on their health and life in general. Explain the risks associated with drug use.

  • Monitor activities: Keep track of your children’s activities, especially when they’re outside the house. Knowing their friends and hangouts can help you detect potential drug exposure.

  • Lead by example: Be a role model by avoiding drug use and living a healthy, balanced life.

  • Set clear rules: Establish firm boundaries regarding drug use and appropriate behavior.

  • Encourage healthy activities: Promote participation in sports, music, or other social activities.

  • Seek professional help: If you suspect your child is using drugs, seek help from a healthcare professional or addiction counselor.

By following these steps, you can help protect your children from the dangers of drugs and encourage them to lead a healthy, balanced life.
